Question by Tara M: Financial Aid?
I applied for financial aid by the April 1st deadline or whenever it is. My school then sent me a letter saying they had received my application for financial aid. Also with the letter there was a list of documents I needed to send in to the school. Some of the documents being my w-2s and my mom’s. This will be my 2nd year at this school and I didn’t have to turn all of that in prior to my 1st year. Will I still get financial aid if I’m this late turning in all of that information?

You won’t get any financial aid until you turn in everything they ask and they process the results of your documents. (This takes some time so don’t turn in your stuff two weeks before classes start and expect to have money the week school starts.)
You were selected for verification. This occurs to about 30% of the fafsa apps. Apparently you were not selected last year.
