How should I begin to write a business plan for a credit company?

April 28th, 2012

Question by Bug: How should I begin to write a business plan for a credit company?
It’s an assignment for a class, and I need some assistance in how to start it out.
I would like to it be an LLC and have affordable hourly rate services for our customers.
The company will help people in post-bankruptcy counseling and coach the people back to financial health by giving them strategies and advice for the future.
The company will also provide a service to the human resource departments of companies and coach employees encountering financial difficulties. (this service will be contracted and billed directly to their employer)

Also, this company will contact the local newspaper and volunteer a monthly column on credit tips ~ this would help educate the people and promote his business.

Any advice and or other ideas would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thank you!

Credit help!?

Question by Dee: Credit help!?
Is there a certain in the month to pull credit for higher scores? I have noticed that my scores drop around the 1st and the 15th of the month. If anyone knows, please let me know. Thanks

Answer by anifak
This is interesting. Try pulling your scores at the end of the month, 10 days after paying your credit card bill(s) and not having charged your cards, your score should theoretically be higher.

Credit help????????

April 21st, 2012

Question by Heidi: Credit help????????
I do not have any credit cards. I’m wanting to open a credit at Kohl’s. Do they charge interest?? Do you just pay what you would normaly pay with cash?? Can you please explain how this works. Thank you!!!

Best answer:

Answer by mister_galager
When you make a purchase, you would hand them the card, just like you would if you are using cash. And yes, they charge interest on any outstanding balances.

If you get the card and use it, pay it off in full when the bill comes in. By doing this you are not only developing credit, but you will be avoiding the interest charges.

If you do not pay it in full and only pay partial or the minimum, then you will start paying interest on the outstanding balance.
