im just an 18 year old but my dad always stays real calm and never ever acts like he’s too interested in a car. so the sales person is always doing his best to get a sale and not rip off a guy who really wants a car.

Have a lot of credit cards but only use 10% of the available credits.
Always pay your bill on time every month.
Have different types of credit cards.
Don’t close any credit cards because closing credit cards makes your credit look bad.
If your balance is high, try to bring that down.

Hope that helps!

Just one rule- Never buy what you cannot afford to pay off at the end of the month.

Also- if you are going to go overdrawn contact your bank.

Any tips for the Applied Bank secured credit card?

April 17th, 2012

Question by rad.danette: Any tips for the Applied Bank secured credit card?
I want a secured card because I just graduated college and just started working. I would like to start building some credit w/out paying outrageous fees.

Applied Bank sounds pretty good so far. I don’t mind paying a reasonable annual fee if I don’t have to pay a super high APR (you know, in case of an emergency of default or something for whatever reason).

I’m just wanting to know what I should watch out for!

Thanks!!! =)

Question by : Can boss deny me the right to look at my tips that are left on my Credit Cards until the end of the work day?
Though at the end of the day he just gives me a total amount. I do not get to actually see what I am being left, and how do i know the cashier, HIS DAUGHTER, isnt putting my tickets into her cashout for the day?

Yeah sounds like you’re being robbed. Taking your tips is stealing. I would make note of how much you get at the end of your shift. Have him sign it if you can, then have the police investigate it. Because chances are you aren’t the only one he’s stealing from.

make sure you have only trusted toolbars and plugins. check your plugins and delete the ones you do not recognize (plugins or toolbars are not needed.

also make sure autofill is turned off.

also, i would use chrome (more wary of malicious software)

Does anyone have any tips on settling debt with credit card companies?

April 6th, 2012

Question by Ricky Jones: Does anyone have any tips on settling debt with credit card companies?
i.e. any tricks they might pull to get you to pay more than the settlement price? The lowest they will settle (50%, 45%?) etc.

1st rule of thumb, NEVER deal with a collection agency!

If you’ve been negligent on payment for quite a while do this:

If dealing directly with a credit card company, or companies, a good thing to do is apply for a cash loan from a bank. Figure out how much cash you have, then call the credit card companies and tell them why you cant pay and how many companies you owe. Be honest and usually they will let you pay off your outstanding debt a quite a discount. I’ve seen them let you pay off at 50% of debt if they think they will never normally recover funds.

Always get the transaction agreement in writing before paying! Over the phone agreements are not a good idea!!
